The Vision
CILS—The Chicago International Language School, aims to educate its clients in the most effective, interesting and ingenious ways possible. It is the objective of CILS to establish itself as the agent of change in modern language education. We intend to revolutionize the existing educational systems and provide a permanent, ever-improving example of excellence in language education. Our determined, intelligent and talented team is in constant motion, always seeking the best ways to educate clients and establish a strong, stable, growing institution with powerful ties to the community. Even now, CILS is working on community outreach programs to assist public schools with improving the quality and effectiveness of their language classes.
In the future, we expect to open schools around Japan and around the world to create a network of language-education schools that will reach to every eager student in every viable market on earth—from Korea to Russia to Australia to Hong Kong to America—teaching English and all other languages in practical demand. We will offer home-stay and study-abroad programs within a system of continuing education that links all the future CILS schools. Like our classroom, the vision of CILS is boundless.
The Business
We are, of course, comprised of a strong team of professional educators and our primary responsibility is to provide the best education to our clients. We are also, however, comprised of professional businesspeople, and we are certainly aware of the importance of a sound financial and business foundation. We have a clear business model and an excellent business plan, developed under the auspices of other experienced businesspeople, entrepreneurs, economists, customer service and marketing professionals, research analysts, accountants, and professional educators from the United States of America, Australia, and Japan.
Conception
The original concept which would eventually develop into The Chicago International Language School was conceived in 2003. It was at that time that the future constituents of CILS began to gather the necessary information to do educational research. A few people worked very hard to collect this information, study it, and come up with new ideas for research into effective teaching. Others built relationships, saved money, and developed the conceptual infrastructure of CILS. After much hard work, intensive thought, lots of consultation with people around the world, plenty of trials and tribulations, many late night meetings and seemingly endless planning, the birth of CILS became a real possibility in 2005.
The original CILS team then began seeking out other talented people who were interested in becoming a part of the CILS Vision. At that time the team gained focus, and The Chicago International Language School slowly began to see the light of day.
