On-Site Courses at CILS
These courses and the CILS Multimedia Center are designed to meet the needs of individuals studying language in their personal time.
On-site Group Courses offered at CILS include:

- Reading , Writing, Grammar & Pronunciation
- Chicago Kids!!!
Of course, we offer Personal Lessons in all our classes. We also offer customized Personal Courses to suit the needs of those with more specific study needs.
On-site Personal Courses offered at CILS include:
- Universal Communication
- Natural Speech, Pronunciation & Listening
- JLPT, TOEIC, TOEFL, EIKEN/STEP
- Business Language & Culture
- Writing, Reading, Grammar & Punctuation
- Instructional English for Teachers and Trainers
Registration in an on-site course means that regular attendance is required at the same time each week. All classes meet regularly. Unfortunately, we cannot offer inconsistent scheduling options.
Why doesn’t CILS offer anytime scheduling for on-site classes?
Unlike most other language schools, our classes are not all the same. At some language schools, students may attend lessons on three different occasions and end up taking the exact same lesson each time; other times, they may take lessons which are completely unrelated to the previous lessons and offer no review. Our classes are designed to avoid such situations. We offer different courses to address specific language learning needs, and our courses are cumulative in nature.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, however, through our research and experience, we have found that it is fundamentally impossible to follow the progress of students without consistent observation. Essential to being a good teacher is getting to know the student well; essential to being a good student is regular attendance. It is therefore our practice to have regular classes so that we can observe and learn about the individual student’s style of learning and easily identify and eliminate the roots of consistent and long-standing problems. This allows accurate diagnosis of problems, accurate prescriptions to correct the problems, customized feedback, and much faster progress in language learning. Remember, as you study language, we study you.

Off-Site Courses by CILS
These courses are designed to meet the needs of businesses and organizations wishing to train their employees in language communications for use in work situations. Our professional instructors are well-trained and have experience in business as well as language-teaching.
Standard off-site courses offered by CILS include:

Customized courses are also available to suit the specific needs of your business or organization.
Off-site courses are available at any time during the regular hours of CILS operation of 09:00AM to 09:10PM. Typical course lengths are from 90 to 150 minutes.
